Two Very Interesting Programs

1. Legislative Assistants to Members of Parliament (LAMP) Fellowship 2011-12.

Do want to work with a member of Parliament?

The only fellowship of its kind in India , this provides the opportunity for young people to work closely with the policymaking process.  

The current batch of LAMP Fellows have been engaged in working with members of Parliament on several Parliament related research tasks.  In addition, they have been interacting with several key opinion leaders and policymakers. The current 2010-2011 pilot initiative of the Fellowship is being conducted in collaboration with the Constitution Club of India.

Anyone below the age of 25, with at least a bachelor's degree can apply. The course is based in New Delhi and will commence in June 2011

2. Azim Premji University

Admission to Post Graduate programmes 2011-13

The University will commence its Programmes in July 2011, at Bangalore.

Eligible candidates will be selected for final admission based on performance in written tests and interview. The test will examine proficiency in English, analytical ability, general & social awareness and knowledge of relevant subjects.

Written tests will be conducted at 38 centres across India on Sunday, 17th April 2011.

1. Master of Arts in Education (Two Years):
Develops education professionals with the commitment and capability to bring about real change in education.

2. Master of Arts in Development (Two Years): Builds a deep understanding of inter-related development domains while encouraging a strong orientation for action at field level.
Applicants for the above two courses must have a recognized Bachelor's Degree in any discipline. Work experience in the education or development domains is encouraged.

3. Masters in Teacher Education (Two Years): Facilitates the development of highly competent teacher educators.
Applicants must possess:
• A recognized Bachelor's Degree in any discipline and a B.Ed., D.Ed., B. EL. Ed, M.A. Ed. or equivalent certification
• Minimum two years of teaching experience at School or Pre-University level
